I got 2 of these to illuminate a corner of my deck (very wooded area, a bit like a tree house) and they are beautiful at night, and very easy to attach to the deck railing (this is what attracted us to them from the beginning). The are pretty sturdy once you get them screwed into place. We've left them out in the wind and rain and so far this summer, they've held up. Its not super easy to get the candle in and out, however, nor are they easy to light. But they really are quite beautiful and classy at night (and safe around the trees hanging over the deck, thanks to the tall glass)-- When I took them out I didn't think they were anywhere near the quality of what we paid for them (light metal, seemed flimsy, and scared I'd break the glass that goes around the candle- seemed thin and possibly very brittle)- all seemed overpriced for the quality. But because we like the way these look so much and seem to be holding up well (and need them to attach to the deck railing) we will probably be purchasing another set of 2 to complete the look
