At Poly-Tex, they’re proud to be celebrating their 25th year in business. While they’ve had many exciting changes over the years, they still remember their roots. They believe in carrying on the legacy of innovation and dedication that has brought them to where they are today. In 1983, husband and wife team Terry & Colleen Crombie started the business by combining their love of all things horticultural with Terry’s background in mechanical engineering. The duo successfully parlayed their talents into the business you see today that is still family owned and operated by Terry and Colleen’s sons, from their manufacturing facilities in Minnesota.

Perhaps what they’re most known for is the product that got it all started, the Garden Mart™. At the time, its affordability, ease of assembly, and integrated benching system made it a best seller for traditional garden centers that needed to inexpensively expand or other retailers who only needed a seasonal place to sell live goods. The same reasons continue to make the Garden Mart one of their best sellers.

The Garden Mart also included the innovative Poly-Vent® ventilation system which provided an excellent, climate-controlled environment for plants and customers. The Poly-Vent system was then integrated into their growing structures where it gained great popularity for its low cost and its ease of use and operation. This product has continued to evolve and is now designed as a stackable system that mounts easily to almost any sidewall.

Over the years they've grown and expanded their line of products to include plant displays, commercial and retail greenhouses, shade structures and accessories. They pride themselves in listening to their customers' needs and finding solutions to their most pressing problems.
